As many of you know, Bob had a run-in with cancer last year (see his letter below for a full account). Unfortunately, his recovery hasn’t been smooth sailing and he has had to spend some more time in hospital. This has meant that he hasn’t been able to write an update for the site, or to answer letters from readers – or to get started on a new book. He is, however, very keen to get back to work – he’s missing writing and has a new Les Norton planned. But his priority has to be getting his health and strength back.
If any of you would like to write to Bob care of the site, we will pass messages on, but please understand that it may not be possible for him to reply personally. When he spoke to me today Bob said he will do an update for the site shortly.
Thank you for your patience,
Melanie
High Noon in Nimbin
′He looks kind of happy‚′ said Les. ′Are you sure he′s dead?′

So Les is off to Nimbin in NSW to help an old army mate of Eddie Salita′s open a bar‚ the Double L. Ranch. Which suited Les since he had to take his friend Tony Nathan the surf photographer to the waxhead wedding of the year at Blueys Beach‚ and it was on the way...more

Hello out there to all my loyal readers and everybody else in cyberspace.
I’ve been getting heaps of letters from people wanting, demanding to know why my latest Les Norton novel, High Noon in Nimbin, is over four months late. Am I dead, am I crook? Am I alive, am I in gaol? What’s the story? Now, before I go on, I want to state that I hate being a whinger and I hate listening to whingers. But for a couple of reasons, I’ll have to give you the whole sorry saga – and it is a saga... read
